Adam Kissiah is Featured Speaker at the 2005 International Space Development Conference

NASA Listens To The Future Of Space

2005 International Space Development ConferenceDuring the 2005 International Space Development Conference in Washington, D.C., retired NASA Kennedy Space Center Engineer Adam Kissiah spoke on the subject of Tangible Benefits derived from Space Research, using the development of design characteristics of the Cochlear Implant as an example of how a great variety of unplanned and unpredicted benefits can be derived from the massive research capabilities of NASA family of Research Centers.

Adam described how he became involved in developing patentable specifications for the Cochlear Implant, which is a device for restoring hearing in the profoundly deaf.  Included in his speech, was an overview of his background which led to the conditions and environment which became fertile for producing insight into this this technological invention.
